counting down to 2008...

the main reason why i'm jotting something over this space the second time in a day is:

i find it not right that my most-probably-last-entry-before-stepping-into-2008 is about the 'p' thingy!!!

haha. just woke up from a satisfying nap and it's about time i prepare myself for the dinner at the boss's house later.

2008, seems like it's going to be a good year! cos i like the number 8, huat ar! huat ar! huat ar! and keet, please remember the pineapples for me to 旺旺 in 2008!

31 Dec 2007

last day of 2007.

while many are doing recaps of their year and writing their '08 resolutions, mine are still vague. all i can say now is that, 2007 could have been a better year for me. so since what has passed is past, shall just look forward and make up for them in 2008! =)

but seriously, i will really want, or rather, need to rid of my procrastination and lazy self.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

came across this article 'off with his willy' while having coffee with zw @ vivocity today. extremely interesting write-up about reactions of angry wives after discovering their hubby's affairs. and of course, the hottest sweet revenge is to cut off their hubby's penis (according to the article) and again, according to the article, the thais have the highest tendency to do this. gross!!! alright guys, it's time for some brain power.

IMAGINE your penis being cut off by a kitchen knife NOW! Ouuccchhhhh..how painful is that!?!! and not forgetting the fact that u can never stand again without ur root. no more sex, no more orgasm, and no more pleasure. poor thing.

but fear not, there's always doctors around to fix the problems right, 98% success rate yah. guess where? of cos , that will be in thailand. cool. haha. and amazingly, the doctor proclaims that it's quite easy to join the penis back to the body and it functions the same, might not stand as tall though, about 60% only.

2 stories in the article that amused me:

1. Wife cut off penis and tie it to helium ballroom. man asks relatives to give chase to the helium balloon and wait for it to drop back to the ground to retrieve his precious. yeaps he got it back.

2. Wife cut off penis and flush it down the toilet. doctor & authorities went through the system to retrieve his penis back. (yucks & gross). surprisingly, it still works normally after the fix.

the most frequently used word in this entry is officially penis. haha.

upset.

cos was so looking forward to mambo and still didnt manage to go in the end. sulks. i need some destress-ing activities.

if that's not the worst, marvin koo just called to tell me how much he envy me that im at home and all. cos it's cold and crowded outside and it seems like the whole world is out partying tonight. and when i told him how much i wanted to go, he told me blantantly that i can still dress up at home, play some retro songs and make some drinks for myself since im a bit late to go out now. long long long long long queue (according to him), but not as bad as the queue on the previous public hols. duh. and it's really nice of him to end of the conversation with a reminder that im still in time for 1-for-1! faiints.

upset la.

seems like partying always fail whenever it's mambo. weekdays got to work, public hols also cant go. not that i dont have company to mambo, just feel weird hanging out with a group of people who im not close with or who i dont really know. so i only club with the same group of people. keet, i really 佩服 you for attending the butter factory party alone! perhaps, should have just gone ahead with ian and friends. maybe it's time to search for some part-time kakis whenever/in case the full-timers cant make it. sulks.

im really upset.

dont get me wrong, i do enjoy cozy gatherings and quiet moments. and definitely, partying is not a everyday thing cos i have no such energy. but it's hard to swallow the disappointment when u are so so so looking forward, specially arranging the next day schedules(despite the year end mad rush) to a bit later just to accomodate a night of fun and distress, and thinking to yourself, finally! the previous time i was at zouk was in july 07 and the one before that was july 06. will the next be july 08?

extremely upset.

dont feel like going anywhere or attending/organizing anything at the moment. leave me alone.
time to work again. no more play time.

i need some fags.

big match.

sipping my hoegaarden while watching the liverpool vs man utd match. GO MAN UTD!!!

for chang and yc who are currently out of town, man utd is currently leading by 1-0 and there's only 2 min left to go. =) quite a silly match cos the final 30 min is a mess with 9 of man utd ppl defending the reds, the only one that's not is ronaldo cos he got to 'attack'. ha, as if. possession is mostly on liverpool side. steven gerrad is fantastic though, the only person who is running up and down the pitch is him. but i guess he cant do everything, too bad. and my little brother has been cursing and criticising everything about the match (his bet is on liverpool). honestly, the referre is kind of kelong la, takes the side of man utd though.

anyway, ferdinand is still my man and c.ronaldo is still so cute. And somehow, i feel that peter crouch doesnt belong to soccer, he's too tall for agility.

Alright, game's over! 1-0.

waiting for arsenal vs chelsea.

10th dec.

seems like im quite free to blog these days. in fact, im not. been trying to pack my everydays with appointments and so far so good, i must say. =)

has been raining quite a lot these days. cold.

wanted to blog about the game i played last night. BRICK GAME!!! found the machine at my place a few days ago, still so enjoyable. wanted to bring it out and play the game on the train but was laughed at by my brother.

me-bro: will i be laughed at if i bring this out and play it on the train?
bro-me: erhmm, people still play brick games la. but not using this. nowdays, young ppl play using ds lite and such. HAHAHA.

alright, im old school. =(

Water Cross

a pub-cafe concept situated inside pasir ris park, very near People Association and very near the sea. the last time i was there was in 2001, went there for some canoeing course and expedition. Nice ambience, natural air-conditioning (yes, the wind!), good food and wide variety of drinks. serves yummilicious golden wings (better than wala's) & muzzels. music was good, with westlive & j.lo in the background. supposedly good scenary but it's kinda dark at night to see any damn thing.

i know, my camera sucks. but look, i really meant it when i said you wont be able to see a damn thing cos it's so dark. haha

no hanky-panky in sight, no crocodiles in sight.

a bit too pricey, hell far from the city and my place, not-so-frozen magarita(still prefer alley's, can we go there soon? i miss the chips, that is if it's still available), no soccer on the screens. atrocious toilet facilities (cos they use the public toilets at the park)

we wanted to walk along the park but it started drizzling, so we left at about 11pm. btw, the tents are invading pasir ris park. haha.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
came across something interesting on mmpoh's blog, wonder why didnt i see this previously.

nice one!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
mood of the day: sulky
cos the rocher is still in my bag.

ps: im going to meet my client-who-has-a-possesive-gf tmr morning. haha.

brazilian wax.

a type of waxing that involves the complete removal of hair from the butts and adjacent to the anus, perineum, and vulva; basically the bikini area. (definition taken from wikepedia!) want to see the results of the waxing? click on the link for wikepedia! had originally posted the pic but felt kinda uncomfy to keep looking at it. i have exactly 2 peeps on my mind who will definitely click to see the pic. haha. bra & yc, no drooling.

why the sudden post to blog about brazilian waxing? erhmm, to encourage my gfs to go for it? i think & feel that brazilian waxing is a must-try-at-least-once-in-a-lifetime thingy for all ladies, optional for guys though. thus, haha, please go fix an appt after u read this. however, b.w is super addictive! once you start, it's quite tough to stop. unless you have no time, no khakis or no money.

common questions:
1. Is it painful?
For someone with a pretty low threshold for pain, I survive the first waxing and the subsequent visits are pretty pleasant. In fact, as i said, it's addictive! The amount of pain depends on the person performing the waxing as well. The one that yt and i go to is quite good cos she's fast and professional. And she will strike conversations with you while her hands are working on the hair, so the overall experience is well, tense yet relaxing. haha

2. How long is the ordeal?
Er, i cant remember? Less than 30 min, it will be done before you know it.

3. Can we do it anytime?
Sure for the guys. But for ladies, it's not recommended that you go for waxing anytime within 1 week after menses. Sensitive la, unless you are fine with the extra sensation.

4. What is the frequency for each waxing?
Approximately 1 month. Guess it depends on the rate of hair growth. haha.

5. Where?
I've only been to Wax Affair at holland village and since i find the services to my liking, unlikely that i'll switch places. In fact, there are a lot of other places who do waxing. Can check the different places out on the forums. just google-search for brazilian wax in singapore! To fix an appt at Wax Affair, call 64687965. =) Free advertising.

6. Charges?
$40 per visit for brazilian waxing. Charges are independent of length and amount of hair. There ae different types of wax la, price list is available at the shop itself.

Should you have other enquiries, simply leave me a tag, a comment, a sms or call me. If you need any khakis, let me know asap cos brazilian party for this month has been scheduled.

Pluck up your courage and go for it!

the 83th post...

discounting all the draft entries, this is officially the 83th post. =)

sulky day, cos i forgot to start my day with a yummilicious ferrero rocher. and the morning run has been disasterous. not exactly the run itself, but the messing-up of my work schedule after the run. why?

simply because:
run at 730am= tiredness after the run=temptation to catch a wink after that= refusal to wake up=late for appts=pushing back of appts=need to reschedule some appts=no discipline=lousy me!
but of course, the above scenario describes only yours truly. not sure about my other colleagues la. guess i can only improve on that. shall not sleep after the run next week, the zzz monster is addictive!

alright, going off to work now.

What the stars say about me...

Lets101 - Free Online Dating Network

Alright yc, know you want the site yeah. can check out yours over here. =) anyway, got it from blackhighheels'. haha, such a coincidence that she is kj's colleague, and drey & i were kana diao-ed by her on tuesday while we were at oub centre having briyanni. honestly, the one person that i really wanna meet at RP these days is blinkymummy! but what should i do if i really meet her? go up to her and ask for a photo or just flash a smile or tell her how much i like her blog or what? Anyway since we were at oub centre the other day, went upstairs to take a look at the doodolls that she blogged about. haha, quite cute and all but it's selling for SGD$29.90 instead of the 25 bucks she mentioned. guess auntie gave her a discount, if not, auntie actually raised the price when the demand went up? no idea.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

back to the most ridiculous-situation-saga, there was a second part to it. was too sleepy to complete it yesterday. here goes, after the sms, the gf actually called me and to tell me the same contents over again. however, i felt the need to talk to the bf, so i asked one of the guy colleagues to call instead. and when my client picked up, the conversation was as follows:

me-client: hey, ur gf with you ar?
client-me: ar.
me-client: she is very fierce hor?
client-me: ar.
me-client: so i supposed you are with her now right?
client-me: ar.
me-client: so cant meet me already right?
client-me: ar.
me-client: call me when you are convenient then.
client-me: ar, bye bye.

scary, is there a need to be so possesive?

confession of the day.

I'm into potato chips again. i have started my day with a ferrero rocher for conseqeutively 2 days and still intending to continue to do so. ferrero rocher simply makes my day. =)

and to all, i may be feeling rather emotional these days and i dont look good or unhappy and less chirpy and whatever, thanks yah. but i'm fine. =) yc, it's because of menses can??!?? faints.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

met with the most ridiculous situation today, after almost 2 yrs of work in the insurance industry. was supposed to meet up with my client at 10pm after his work. why 10pm? cos he's working as a chef @ hotel X and will only be done by around that time. called him to confirm appt at 728pm. At 915pm, i thought i forgot to tell him the exact location to meet up, went to sms him and our conversation follows:

me-client: hey, cya at mac later k.
client-me: you are?
me-client: lynn! meet you at mac k.
client-me: why are u meeting my boyfriend?

thinking to myself, shucks.

me-client's gf: oh hi, im actually his prudential agent and will be meeting him to pass him some documents and brochures. sorry for the misunderstanding.
client's gf-me: you know i dont care who are you and my boyfriend interested get ing anymore insurance from you. and appreciate if you stop calling to disturb before i lodge a complain to your company directly!

nope, no typo error. i guess she meant her boyfriend is not interested to get insurance from me. haha. since my client is only 21 years old, i supposed the gf should be younger and all.

what i really wanna tell the gf is: hey gal, can you please wake up your idea? im running some decent business here and i have no intention to meet your bf for the sake of going out and have some good fun nor have i any intentions to snatch him away from you and absolutely zero thoughts to seduce him or cheat his money. please remember that whatever financial planning he's doing now will help you guys a great deal in future, that if he has decided to still stick with you yah.

*rolls eyes*

Thursday, November 29, 2007

ramblings...

dont know. uncertainties. emptiness. nuahness. slacking big time. loserish. sian. bored. fat. messy. tangled. red.

He...

is who i long to see everyday...
is who i long to hear everyday...
is who i long to meet everyday...

He is none other than him, 杨宗纬. unlike of me being so 'into' chinese songs and all yeah, but it's amazing how this guy can sing. the emotions and all. honestly, i'm indeed very moved by his voice. chang, dont 'despise' me!!! haha, go click onto the youtube and listen yeah.

you might have differing opinions, but i truly truly truly like to watch him very much. ask me about his youtube videos, i might have watched almost all of them cos i watch him every night. haha.

though some peeps might criticise that he's not handsome and all, my view: he's presentable and not too bad la.

this is by far the mush-iest post that i've written and even though i've decided to publish it, im pretty hesitant. anytime i remove this entry, you will know that i've decided to go back ontrack again. haha.

inconsiderate commuter(s)

bumped into one this morning. things he did to earn him the no. 1 incosiderate commuter of 14th nov 2007 were (i) to open his legs so wide that he had 'eaten into' MY space. (ii) worse, not sensitive at all to adjust his sitting position even though i threw him multiple dirty looks. wanted to tell him off and all but being a typical singaporean, of cos i didnt. no balls to. (iii) speaking continously and loudly in a language i didnt understand. obviously we are of different races yeah. the speed that he's splutting at is zoooooommm....yes, very loud and clear cos im just beside him and it was only 840am! hey there, i and in fact, everyone in our cabin who had a seat was trying to catch some beauty sleep yeah (iv) and it was as if he couldnt survive the trip not talking to anyone, he called another person once he ended a conversation with one. i counted at least 3, not sure if he managed to get the 4th one. (v) the lady beside me was obviously not very happy with me cos i had to press my thigh against hers, not that it was within my control. in the end, both of us crossed our legs thru the ride. screwed up, cos my right leg went numb after a while and it was super uncomfy.

glad that i alighted at tanjong pagar, boos that he didnt scram off the train earlier as i had expected. for all the reasons above, hmph, i dont like them!!! not that im a superb person or what, just personal preferences la.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
something interesting...
wonder what's that lyin' on the ground beside the number 9?

it's this!!! tissue papers!

haha, we were helping jimmy reserve the only parking lot left. and since we're in cbd, we ought to do it the cbd way!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
wanted to blog about this a few weeks back. the level of committment of young fans...

ramblings of a sick girl...

i is sick. aches, heavy head, fever, sore throoat, blocked nose. yucks. the headache makes me wanna cry.

anyway, i is very sweet today. attracted 2 creepy crawlies while traveling. first, an ant and then a millipede. the millipede nearly scared the hell out of me though. was on the bus when i felt it crawling against my skin; managed to brush it off without using my other hand and it landed on the middle of the pathway for passengers to walk yah. amazing how little creatures like crawlies survive in this big human world. it took me about 10 stops to travel from bugis to tanjong pagar and the milli-crawlie nearly survived the whole trip wthout anyone stepping on it!

sweet things that make me feel blessed.
1. daddy calling in the day to ask how i was feeling and said he prepared chicken soup.

2. baby helps to dry my hair while im already half-concuss early noon. went back to his place to rest after the morning activity. cant remember much except him drying my hair, cos he insisted i should bathe after we were in the rain for a while in the morning. cant really recall what time he left his place too. i continued to sleep while he went for appts.

3. found a box of ferrero rochers when i returned home, courtesy of my little brother! cos he saw my msn nick. really sweet of him. =)

yc and chang, i remember you guys offering me some rochers too! thanks! =)

...

tired, went back to roadshow model for consencutive 4 days last week. hence, havent been blogging. im tired and stressed. can feel the competitiveness in the environment, can feel the unwilling synchronization between my mind and myself. i miss the serenity in my life. seems like i'm left with little options. with what i have, i dont pray for more time, i just want to work harder.

i hope i can do it.

woke up to a sunny late morning, didnt really sleep well yesterday. only managed to knock out at bout 7am...was turning and tossing before that. lots of things on my mind these days, mostly bout work and my addiction calls on me again, more frequent than before, especially when it's pouring. love the rainy season, that's me. it just washes away everything. everything, everything and everything. and the button resets. but yet it's the same rainy season that makes me feel exceptionally vulnerable and weak. yes, im being emotional again.

once again, i'm caught in between.

Monday, October 29, 2007

happenings...

went for a concert at victoria concert hall yesterday. actually it was quite good, the singing and all, just that i'm not sure how to appreciate, the chior from 雅歌合唱团...

this is how bored i am during the intervals...a lot of crowds outside, so lazy to go out of the threatre...take photos la, tried to entertain myself admist the pools of aunties and uncles. haha. worse, i was almost sleeping during certain parts of the show. hee.

raining damn heavily in the afternoon, commando to my rescue...haha, look at how he carried his brollies..damn silly la. he explained something about the rain splashing at him sideways and all...duh. anyway, yunn, he thinks u're jude!

flowers for mdm quek. thought it was quite weird to mix lilies and roses but they looked okay. i love lilies..please give me lilies if any of you wanna send me flowers. grin.

went back to bp last wed for mdm quek's retirement ceremony. a pity that it was held in the temporary premise at teck whye as the cck campus is undergoing a major overhaul. nevertheless, it's nice to be back with the bp family. =)

check out the new biometric authentication systems in school. there's no longer attendance marking in sch, students are supposed to scan their thumprints every morning when they reached school. it's so cool la!!! evolution of technology...i'm so outdated. =(

scenery from the lower sec canteen. nothing much. and there's only 2 stalls there, the malay food and drinks. and guess what, the drinks stall uncle was driving an alfa romeo, and is driving a mercs now. er guys, mercs right???

another technology i found at orchard bus-stop. hee, dont know if it's gps or gprs system. this is pretty impressive too. this screen actually relays to commuters the estimated arrival time of the buses and the waiting time for the next next bus. and they will also show if the buses have the faciities for the handicapped yeah. the downside is that the timings arent really accurate. in fact, it's not accurate at all, at least from what i've experienced. hahaha.

the world is so small and everyone is very connected to one another. was talking to steph the other day over tiramisu and we realized that we have more than a few couples of common friends/aquaintances...drew out a map. but will post it after i got home. haha. anyway, drey, yunn and i were talking about the same thing over dinner on friday. we are so connected such that it's pretty tough to have an affair or two-time your partners in singapore 'openly' (meaning that you guys hang out at shopping malls, public places and all). when u think that nobody knows you or is watching you, do think twice. cos the peeps sitting at the tabe right beside you might jolly well be your partner's school mates, army mates or his/her best friend's other friends... and words do go around. no matter how ppl promise to keep things a secret, somehow or somewhat, another person will know.

as the chinese saying goes: 若要人不知, 除非己末为 yah. scary. perhaps that's why ppl always hangout at dark areas, carparks, ulu places, and ulu parks. haha. nonetheless, beware, cos car-plates are sources of identification too. troublesome hor. haha, but somehow peeps just have ways to get off. i know of at least 2 who plays around..haha. and so far, they've been pretty discreet. whahahah. cos no news of divorce yet. still safe and sound.

so we brought our discussion further, such as go overseas for vacations. hangout in batam, bintan? but again, singaporeans are everywhere! even batams la! places like holiday inns and harris are practically flooded by singaporeans all around the year. so how?

we listed a few places in singapore that are safe yet unsafe. and most importantly, you must have a car. if not, playing is out of the question. but come to think of it, 1 of my 2 friends dont drive. hmmm...

1. Jurong Hill
safe factor: super inaccessible and nobody really goes there.
unsafe: actually, a lot of ntu students know of that place and we do hangout there after supper. haha.

2. bedok jetty carpark
safe factor: super dark la. and my bet is everyone is there for the same purpose, be it they're 'legal' or 'illegal' couples. so guess they just mind their own business?
unsafe factor: precisely that everyone is there.

3. bt batok nature reserve/park
safe factor: my friend hangouts at this place and not caught yet!
unsafe factor: might be robbed by foreign workers. haha.

4. west coast park carpark (of cos not the one with mcdees)
safe factor: super dark as well. always saw a couple of cars there when i drive past. haha
unsafe factor: er, cant think of any? maybe the nus kids might just decide to go for an adventure?

5. er...perhaps tuas?
safe factor: nobody's there.
unsafe factor: robbed? caught in some fire?

6. yishun dam
safe factor: not sure, havent been there before
unsafe factor: how would i know?

7. labrador park
safe factor: no more safe factors unless you park your car somewhere else, it's pretty crowded and bright over there

8. telok blangah hill
safe factor: not many ppl there at night. and scary, cos might just bump into huang na. shivers...
unsafe factor: for the same reason.

hahha, all the places we know are what others know too. so perhaps, they are not so safe afterall!

halloween @ zouk!

equates to FUN!!! let the pics do the talking...

a fairy, pirate, cowboy & an angel.

scary creatures & ghosts! love the chinese ghosts, just funny to see them bobbing to the music.
and the priest! he brought along about 15 vampires with him? just that they walked instead of jumped. hee.

bears, barney, cows, & rabbits..

the cute spartan & his queen. anyway, the spartans are the hottest make-up of 2007 halloween, lots of them man.

ms desker told me: 'woo, you have a big gun, but mine's bigger.' cool huh. hahaha.

check out the pointed boobs of the blonde! and guess what, the 5 of us are all ex-bpians. haha. the world is small.

characters. the osama is cute.

the i-pod. traffic lights. robot. i applaud the robot for his 100% effort cos the whole aluminium outlook is self-made, super committed!

my personal favourite! the parking summons aunties!!! they are GOOD!!! with the consistent 'No parking, no parking!', whistles, and 'teri-ma-kasi' (err..thank you in malay. but i sure dont know how to spell it?)

this is what was written on the summons. (picture taken from jessica)

all in the name of good fun! after our first experience @ zouk, we have decided to be more committed for halloween '2008. full costume and all! that is, if we're still enthusiatic about the whole party. haha.

lesson learnt: camera is a MUST bring!
