confessions of a shopaholic

well, i confessed.

i guess im shopping a little over the edge. And of cos, i went with jomei and steph to the luxury brands sale on the first day. thanks jomei dear for the great lobangs! anyway, shopping with her is always an enjoyment cos she spices up the entire atmosphere. hee. the sale was madness and honestly, we did try (or at least steph and myself tried) to curb our spendings by exercising due control. haha.

positively, we saved more than 50% off the usual prices. really great buys. still, im not going to spend unnecessarily for the next 3 months. note, unnecessarily.

on the other hand, im really stressed at work. yc will know cos im always lamenting these days yah. haha, thanks to not only yc but for all of your listening ears k, especially the roomie who gets my nonsense first-hand, up-close and personal.

updates!

the kumar show was tonight and man, he's really fabulous! basically, we spent the 90min inside the esplanade laughing our heads off. it was almost non-stop laughing throughout.

the play we caught was like a depiction of his life since young and all yah, thus the show title 'stripped bare and naked' haha. he're really cool!

and yepps, my new toy! sleek and quite chic la, but still in the process of makeover cos it's pretty much naked inside.

this is a really random post. just to show what's inside a man's pocket other than ahem, it's a wallet, car keys and for i-dont-know-what reason, 2 phones. shrugs.

and this came as a surprise to me. was home late 1 night and i found a mail from hong kong to me, guess what? it's an invite from burberry to view their summer/spring collection. no dates and all, i supposed it's just a mailer to inform bout the new collection.

still, the envelope is made of really good quality and it's quite chic. haha

i've gotten myself a new lappie!

it's been a while since i went to the quarterly IT show to seriously in search for something. And man, it's still as packed & argh as ever. it's so crampy that crowded is too mild a word to describe the situation, period.

though i've paid for my lappie, i've not collected it yet as the model that i wanted isnt a ready stock. thus, i'll be technology-less for the next couple of days. i hope i survive my appts well. haha. fortunately, i've got another 2 sets of desktops & 1 laptop at home, so im not all gone.

IT fair & Burberry sale.

i went for both yesterday.

damn packed @ the IT show even though it's only the first day. went to check out prices for toshiba, lenova and sony while waiting for drey to reach.

yeah, our destination is actually burberry sale. disappointing cos they dont have shoes my size anymore. boohoohoo! painstaking cos the sale for the shoes were very good, 60% off. boohoohoo! and so phoebe (who was there too) got 2 pairs cos her feet are smaller. boohoohoo!

*oei dear, you better stop spending. you said you will stop spending for 2 months. haha. *

on the other hand, i just want to work work work, hard and non-stop. i need to see more money in the bank. contradicting, aint i? life's like that, full of dilemmas and confusion. in short, bleah! if only we can make wise and gd decisions all the time, how easy will that be?

im counting down to my next holiday in may with the gang @ bangkok! in fact, im planning another in either may/july to shanghai with dad & mum dearest and my entertaining yet very irritating bros, hope the roommie can join us. =)

another reason i need to work hard for? so that i can have free trips to korea and australia next yr. haha. new zealand is still kind of 'huh, how to do?' right now, i mean the specific target. and another reason i need to work hard is so that i can go to woohoo mauritius in jan 2010!!!

woohoo, after being stressed and depressed for a couple of days and super depressed yesterday, i can sense that im back on track again! phew, sweats. money not so easy to earn one yeah.

i love typing 'random' as an entry title, because it simply cures the headache of having to think of one. grins.

first up, the yummy crabs! the roomie and i were early, but we went to the 'wrong' place. it turned out that the so-called authentic famous crab is actually mellben. reason being, there are 3 coffeeshops and all 3 of them have crabs as their speciality, so we were waiting for the rest at the next famous 'uncle leong's crab'.



the crabs are really good, big and juicy! honestly, we were all very into our food and the pictures i took were pathetic. they were taken for the sake of taking as my fingers have already started on the crabbys.






it's a great pity if you guys give this a miss!!! i especially love the creamy butter crab and their deep fried tofu! makes me hungry all over again!

my poor baby is having a busy time in camp, so busy that we didnt even have a little of time to talk on the phone.

marina barrage

is boring.

guess i've read too many good and nice things bout the place that the actual visit tonight totally 'blew' the roomie and myself away. on the contrary of strong winds and beautiful views, we feel NO wind and we perspire lots. and the view, yes it's the same singapore flyer and brightly-lit skyscrapers, what's new? the worst thing we experience tonight is its atroucious design. there was this arch structure where you actually walked upslope to get a bird-eye view of southern singapore and it's a downslope after it, so naturally we followed the path. guess what awaited us at the end of the whole path? no linking walkway i.e. dead end and a considerably big patch of muddy grass. our subtitles were 'wtf'.

as both of us refused to walk back the same long tedious upslope and downslope, the roomie decided to piggy-back me across the muddy field. weets. grin, at least i got a piggyback ride!! thanks baby. haha, but his poor loafers were mud-infested.

luckily there were nothing but lots of water over there...hahaha

a better recommendation from the both of us will be the marina south pier, beautiful place! and it's only round the corner. =) do go there for a visit or even dinner plans! there's a riverboat serving western and a famous king crab or crab king restaurant serving seafood!

im in much lesser pain now, guess the antibiotics and painkiller works quite well today. keep it up! im already lookin forward to the crabs dinner later on! will charge my canon's batt to the fullest for photos.

saw the doc, im still in pain. and i cant talk for long.
this is miserable.

it pays to visit a lousy dentist.

im in pain, a lot of pain.
my right gum is all swollen and it hurts to talk. worse, my job involves talking, and dammit a lot of talking. bleah.

the story began a couple of months ago....

when i had this tooth filling done by a female dentist, whom i seldom consult cos my mum says she is no good. but all because my regular dentist in the same clinic was not working that day. and of cos, i didnt want to drag the whole process of visiting a dentist (i absolutely irk the idea of going to a dentist) again, so i decided to let her have a go at my badly maintained tooth. she was rough and lousy, compared to my usual dentist. confirmed, guaranteed plus chop.

however, at least she solve my problem then.

the aftermath came recently when it hurts to bite using that reformed molar of mine. and mind you, it damn bloody HURTS. it's SUPER OUCH!!! but the pain usually died off in less than 30min.

and i got the SUPER OUCH again last night. i thought the pain will die off, but as it was so painful, i decided to sleep it away. i still woke up with the OUCH this morning, i was cursing. it got worse when i went to work, especially in the afternoon. it was then i realized that my gums are all red and swollen. what the fuck. im in pain the whole day.

when i reached home at last, i remembered salt water can cure all my pain. so i begin to numb the pain by constantly inputting salt water and gargarling. all i can say it stop my pain momentarily. i was really helpless until the roomie called and told me that i most probably have gotten a nasty case of gum infection caused by the reformed but not cured properly molar and that explains the pain. he suggested listerin and painkiller instead. i had done the 1st, im not sure about the 2nd though cos it's not good to eat too many painkillers.

im in less pain now, but still in pain.

i swear im going to the dentist tmr, i pray dr ng will be in tmr morning. bless me. i got to sleep my pain away now. sulks big time.

crippled.

by my darlin lappie, age is catching on with it yeah. it's still usable, but i've got to wait for almost 15min or more before it boot up and by then, the battery life is 1 bar gone. damn sian cos i really cant work without a notebook when i go for appointments, hence, im constructing reasons to be lazy (argh) and this also means i have to spend a few thousands on another one. how uncool. =(

fyi, we're still wandering among sony, toshiba and lenovo. any recommendations anyone?

im almost boyfriend-less (brian! read the next line first before you call)
for this 2 weeks cos roommie is in camp. i remembered his first in-camp, i did a mini version of a diary, jotting down how i spent my days without him. it was kinda a surprise gift, we were still in uni back then. these days, i'll just call him at night to tell him how much i miss him. whahahha. anyway, his camp is only a 15min or lesser drive to my place, i can have wanton mee at 179 anytime.

we went to honjin restaurant at chow house on sat as i have a 1-for-1 voucher, haha. so we ended up having to pay 42 bucks for 2 instead of 80+ dollars. i still have 1 more with me though, any takers? it's a japanese ala-carte buffet yeah, the sashimi, shisamo, unagi and garlic beef are good. the rest are normal, nothing fantastic la. everything is freeflow except for teppanyaki prawns.





i may be sua-ku, but i still think it's special. guess what's this?
