happenings...

went for a concert at victoria concert hall yesterday. actually it was quite good, the singing and all, just that i'm not sure how to appreciate, the chior from 雅歌合唱团...

this is how bored i am during the intervals...a lot of crowds outside, so lazy to go out of the threatre...take photos la, tried to entertain myself admist the pools of aunties and uncles. haha. worse, i was almost sleeping during certain parts of the show. hee.

raining damn heavily in the afternoon, commando to my rescue...haha, look at how he carried his brollies..damn silly la. he explained something about the rain splashing at him sideways and all...duh. anyway, yunn, he thinks u're jude!

flowers for mdm quek. thought it was quite weird to mix lilies and roses but they looked okay. i love lilies..please give me lilies if any of you wanna send me flowers. grin.

went back to bp last wed for mdm quek's retirement ceremony. a pity that it was held in the temporary premise at teck whye as the cck campus is undergoing a major overhaul. nevertheless, it's nice to be back with the bp family. =)

check out the new biometric authentication systems in school. there's no longer attendance marking in sch, students are supposed to scan their thumprints every morning when they reached school. it's so cool la!!! evolution of technology...i'm so outdated. =(

scenery from the lower sec canteen. nothing much. and there's only 2 stalls there, the malay food and drinks. and guess what, the drinks stall uncle was driving an alfa romeo, and is driving a mercs now. er guys, mercs right???

another technology i found at orchard bus-stop. hee, dont know if it's gps or gprs system. this is pretty impressive too. this screen actually relays to commuters the estimated arrival time of the buses and the waiting time for the next next bus. and they will also show if the buses have the faciities for the handicapped yeah. the downside is that the timings arent really accurate. in fact, it's not accurate at all, at least from what i've experienced. hahaha.

the world is so small and everyone is very connected to one another. was talking to steph the other day over tiramisu and we realized that we have more than a few couples of common friends/aquaintances...drew out a map. but will post it after i got home. haha. anyway, drey, yunn and i were talking about the same thing over dinner on friday. we are so connected such that it's pretty tough to have an affair or two-time your partners in singapore 'openly' (meaning that you guys hang out at shopping malls, public places and all). when u think that nobody knows you or is watching you, do think twice. cos the peeps sitting at the tabe right beside you might jolly well be your partner's school mates, army mates or his/her best friend's other friends... and words do go around. no matter how ppl promise to keep things a secret, somehow or somewhat, another person will know.

as the chinese saying goes: 若要人不知, 除非己末为 yah. scary. perhaps that's why ppl always hangout at dark areas, carparks, ulu places, and ulu parks. haha. nonetheless, beware, cos car-plates are sources of identification too. troublesome hor. haha, but somehow peeps just have ways to get off. i know of at least 2 who plays around..haha. and so far, they've been pretty discreet. whahahah. cos no news of divorce yet. still safe and sound.

so we brought our discussion further, such as go overseas for vacations. hangout in batam, bintan? but again, singaporeans are everywhere! even batams la! places like holiday inns and harris are practically flooded by singaporeans all around the year. so how?

we listed a few places in singapore that are safe yet unsafe. and most importantly, you must have a car. if not, playing is out of the question. but come to think of it, 1 of my 2 friends dont drive. hmmm...

1. Jurong Hill
safe factor: super inaccessible and nobody really goes there.
unsafe: actually, a lot of ntu students know of that place and we do hangout there after supper. haha.

2. bedok jetty carpark
safe factor: super dark la. and my bet is everyone is there for the same purpose, be it they're 'legal' or 'illegal' couples. so guess they just mind their own business?
unsafe factor: precisely that everyone is there.

3. bt batok nature reserve/park
safe factor: my friend hangouts at this place and not caught yet!
unsafe factor: might be robbed by foreign workers. haha.

4. west coast park carpark (of cos not the one with mcdees)
safe factor: super dark as well. always saw a couple of cars there when i drive past. haha
unsafe factor: er, cant think of any? maybe the nus kids might just decide to go for an adventure?

5. er...perhaps tuas?
safe factor: nobody's there.
unsafe factor: robbed? caught in some fire?

6. yishun dam
safe factor: not sure, havent been there before
unsafe factor: how would i know?

7. labrador park
safe factor: no more safe factors unless you park your car somewhere else, it's pretty crowded and bright over there

8. telok blangah hill
safe factor: not many ppl there at night. and scary, cos might just bump into huang na. shivers...
unsafe factor: for the same reason.

hahha, all the places we know are what others know too. so perhaps, they are not so safe afterall!

halloween @ zouk!

equates to FUN!!! let the pics do the talking...

a fairy, pirate, cowboy & an angel.

scary creatures & ghosts! love the chinese ghosts, just funny to see them bobbing to the music.
and the priest! he brought along about 15 vampires with him? just that they walked instead of jumped. hee.

bears, barney, cows, & rabbits..

the cute spartan & his queen. anyway, the spartans are the hottest make-up of 2007 halloween, lots of them man.

ms desker told me: 'woo, you have a big gun, but mine's bigger.' cool huh. hahaha.

check out the pointed boobs of the blonde! and guess what, the 5 of us are all ex-bpians. haha. the world is small.

characters. the osama is cute.

the i-pod. traffic lights. robot. i applaud the robot for his 100% effort cos the whole aluminium outlook is self-made, super committed!

my personal favourite! the parking summons aunties!!! they are GOOD!!! with the consistent 'No parking, no parking!', whistles, and 'teri-ma-kasi' (err..thank you in malay. but i sure dont know how to spell it?)

this is what was written on the summons. (picture taken from jessica)

all in the name of good fun! after our first experience @ zouk, we have decided to be more committed for halloween '2008. full costume and all! that is, if we're still enthusiatic about the whole party. haha.

lesson learnt: camera is a MUST bring!

ramblings...

havent use this title for kinda long. went home early today and be a good girl cos it's mmy's bday. and i really couldnt stay put at home, was starting to sms ppl at 1130pm, just for anyone to come pick me and go hangout. i was bored at home and i found no suitable ones. being myself and alone, i resorted to hoegaarden, my form of inner peace.

was looking thru pics of friends, fellow classmates and realized i missed the good old days very much; esp uni days, i missed the clubs, the loud blasting music, the smell of fags, the alcohols and the freedom...no commitments, no obligations, no responsibilities. how i wish to relish those days. yes, im absolutely feeling emotional. went back to an old habit recently, decided to drop it anyway..so im kinda suffering from the so-called 'withdrawal syndromes'..

zouk tonight? looking forward to the halloween party, yunn, please tell me we're still going yeah.. =)

another fattening night...

at breko bugis village 1130pm...the place should close at around 1am cos we left at about 1245. last order was around 1215. quite a good hangout place, nice ambience and there's a tv for some soccer actions & a soccer table as well..

ordered a saug & mash (sausage & mash potato), catch-no-ball (cheesy meatball pizza), lemon ice mango, some apple currant tea and an expresso with ice-cream. haha. the saug & mash and the lemon ice mango drink are pretty good. the drink has this big pudding-like lemon-flavoured ice-cube, cool yeah. the drink is super refreshing. on a side note, still prefer the sausage & mash at coffee club (by far the best). as for the pizza, love the crust and cheese! the meatball is too dry already.

a place that i fancy alot, my secret garden..located very near bugis village. been there once and still unforgettable. why so? just click on the link to visit their site.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

it's raining super heavily now. saw an accident on AYE while on the way back. the car is quite cui-ed. think the guy drove too fast and the car skidded. at least that's wat uncle cabbie said. =)

thinking of going to zouk's halloween party with the babes...

healthy saturday...not so heathly

woke up to a morning jog-run at East Coast Park. 7am. 7am. 7am. super early but feels good after the run. think this sat morning run thingy is going to last for quite a while...

however this healthy streak didnt last long...

cos dinner was at fishermen's wharf, right opposite clarke quay station. that place practically fry everything they can serve to their patrons. oysters poppers. dory fish & chips. sea bass & chips. love their chips, it's so potato-ish. their servings are HUGE for girls, perhaps just nice for guys (excluding yc, whahahah. guess you'll feel bloated after that).

dont know what he's searching for...but he was sweating as if he just came back from a marathon.

nice place to visit: hardworking boss, friendly staff, relaxing environment
a feedback: you guys need more fans! =)

after dinner program was a last-min movie @ great world city. mr. woodcock. yes, it's indeed a cock show. not exactly funny and it's just ok-lo. 2 popcorns??? dont watch, unless you really have to catch a movie.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
nice gum wrapper from korea. courtesy of dear steph and her new pink march! =)

my client bought this for me from bangkok. monkey!!! so cute!!!

new shoe rack from my dad. hahah. and mmy, im still far from being the next Imelda Marcos. hahah. im only slighly above 1% of her yeah.

new manicure & pedi. ha, did it with a 'client'. whahahahahah. nice colour, opi 259.

anyway, put on quite a few pounds recently. my shorts are getting tighter. sucks isnt it? havent been to yoga classes too. guess i should just go blade later.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.00am
back from blading and all. happening? quite. healthy? nope.
cos we had this after blading...

1 strawberry milkshake, 9 pcs nuggets, 2 packets of curry sauce & 1 HEAP of mayonnaise. the happy thing is i wasnt the one who finished the mayo!!! hahaha.
