updates. >.<

has been wantin to write a post since last week. yet, i only find the time and mood to type something now.

this week's supposed to be a packed week. however, i was already down with cold on the first day of the week. and with the office shifting and all, things just seem to fall out of place. next week is gonna be a super-packed week though as again, i will be going overseas for a 5-days course from next sunday onwards. lots of paperwork on hand to clear before the trip. and because of the shifting of office, i've brought back home part of the load. my room looks like a warzone now, simply atrocious and messy.

got to spend some time packing up the stuff. major sulks.

a quick update on my new purchases recently.

many has been asking which bag did i buy? here it is, the LV mini-lin speedy. =)

and i went with the roommate to a private sale just last week and we bought back more stuffs. 3 shoes, 5 bags, and 3 wallets; and only 2 bags and a wallet belongs to me. dont ask me how much we spent cos we're not supposed to tell. let's just say i've got my new lacoste stuffs at a really good deal. =)

and i got the ferragamo hairclip already, thinking of getting the red one too.

hopefully, no more new purchases for the next few months till xmas! perhaps, just 1 more pair of shades? hee.

some arty-farty photos that the roommate and i took.

Foodies!

if there's ever such a word. haha.

first up, popiah making session at the roommate's place. haha, it's been a long time since i had this. i love snacking on light foodie!

food at cafe cartel. =) cakes are 50% off after 9pm; in fact, cafe cartel serves good cakes! the strawberry milkshake tastes yums yums too. of cos, and their pork ribs. dont really like the fish bites though even the nuggets taste as good or even better than the ones at mac. hee.

laurent bernard chocolatier @ the pier at robertson quay. =)
it's a nice, tranquil place that serves uber chocolaty desserts and beverages. the minus point of the place got to be the sewage-smell in the air cos the place is just beside the river. grin.

was at nectarie patisserie last night with the roommate. the dark chocolate opera looks and tastes yummilicious, a pity that it's not exactly satisfying. also tried the ice minty chocolate latte; not much of mint taste in the drink, so ah huh, it's just a latte. no matter, comparing laurent bernard and nectarie, we still prefer nectarie. =)

sidenote, this is my favourite drink! thanks to the partner for introducin me to it. has been lovin it since the first day i tasted it. =) yakun silky barley!!! so far, the yakun @ mt faber safra serves the best silky barley. the most cmi one will be the branch @ tpy central. haha.

NOTE: do you know? the singapore buses have revamped their images! check out the new ikea-ish seats and all. haha, doesnt SMRT afraid that the seats will be dirtied and all? was on bus 107 a couple of weeks ago and found this new look, the whole bus looks kinda posh with bar counter and all. haha. but i reckon the new look is less efficient economically, dont think it can sit as many people as the old school buses. haha.

mid-week.

it's mid-week already, time passes like nobody business these days ar. superfast.

2nd half of the year is the period whereby i hope time passes slower cos the year is coming to an end, and which coincidentally also reminds me that i still have lots of pipeline to clear. time to get the engine started again.

a gd news nevertheless, isetan scotts called just yesterday that the new shipment for the ferragamo hairclips have arrived. finally. =) perhaps, i should just come up with my wishlist and fulfill the purchases systematically?

i am so broke.

realized the high cost of living in singapore? sometimes, i wonder how people buy and maintain their cars. do they put a lot of downpayment or do they just live by the day? been lookin around for my transport for 1 yr and am still looking, tough to get one ar. i calculated the petrol, the cashcard, the ad-hoc insurance, the road tax, and i already feel im in deep shit. it's not even about the monthly instalment. mayb i spend too much?

no, i think i earn too little.

sidenote, my telemarketeer is quite cute, in a way that she's uber funny. her pronounciation always manage to brighten my day. her famous line, "yes, meet her at MOSt burger." no typo, she pronounce MOS as most. haha.

eventful weekend.

spent my weekends pretty well.

met the partner on sat night @ PS carrefor to get the stuff for our children's home visit the next day. we came across this advertisement which looks and sounds a bit interesting, haha. in case you cant get it, it's the word 'suck'.

she insists that this picture be posted; her first fbt! haha.

met the roommate @ ecp sunset bay after that. love this place, a pity it's a bit too far from my place.

and today's at the children's home; yvette and us organized this sandwich-making competition for the kids. it's not important whether the sandwiches turn out tasty, it's not important who win the competition, it's not even important if the kiddos learn how to make sandwiches. i guess the best thing they get is to have us as company on a sunday and us, to see the joy and happiness on their faces while letting their creativity juices flow and workin hard on their own creations. personally, i see the laughters and grins on their faces and there's this huge sense of satisfaction even though the session lasted only for 2 hours. but i believe what they need is constant attention from the same group of people who can shower them with more attention and concern since their parents cant be with them for various reasons. of course, not all kids are without their parents but most who stay in for the weekends dont.

really, i find today's activity very meaningful, hence, thinkin i had an eventful weekend even though there werent much activities and all.

last week was japanese cuisine, this week's thai food! a great recommendation - aroy thai @ funan IT mall, level 4.

the best thai food we have had as yet. this restaurant is opened by thais, so it's confirmed authetic thai food, yummilicious!

the ice tea (cha yen or something) tastes differently from our normal teh-bing and it's worth mentioning because it's nice. the first time i had this was when we visited the thai restaurant at golden mile, couldnt quite get use to the taste but now, it tastes perfectly. see the coconut with some otah curry look-alike, it's VERRRRYYYYY nice! resemble the ah-mok fish we had in cambodia and it's very good. and of cos, very traditional clear tom yum soup. lastly, the roommate loves the prawn vermicelli. very yummy indeed!

this restaurant has been around for quite a long while, ever since i started selling lappies in funan durin uni, it was already there and established. but disclaimer, the food doesnt come anywhere near cheap. this meal costs us $78++.

4.5 thumbs up!

note: 5 is full score la!
