Nectarie le'Dessert Patisserie

a pretty, nicely decorated hangout place at clarke quay that serves the usual coffee, tea and dessert stuff; cakes, waffles, ice-creams and giantic biscotti. however, this place serves them prettier and tastier. you should check out the way they wrap their takeaways, awww the packagin is so sweet and classy with big ribbons and all.

the roommate and i were there last night.

didnt really feel like having any cakes so we tried their waffles instead. but i tell you, the last time we tasted their cake, it's uber heavenly. however, as we always visit at late hours, the selection is rather limited by then. a pity i had too much chocolate and too many cakes recently, so chocolate cake is out for me at least for the next few days. i need a breather.

anyway, the waffle is alright, normal. but the ice-cream comes in a variety of interesting flavours such as baileys and jack daniels. even so, haha we opted for crunchy hazelnut (safe choice). indeed, the hazelnuts are really crunchy and note that they aint chopped til tiny bits. the ice-cream is filled with almost whole or halved hazelnut, committed aint they?

a good drink recommendation will definitely be the iced chocolate peanut butter latte, nice!

the cafe is located just beside lunar. the exact address is as below
#01-05 the cannery,
clarke quay.

enjoy!

fyi, the roommate prefers the gelare waffles though.

"
And friends are friends forever
If the lords the lord of them
And a friend will not say never
cause the welcome will not end
Though its hard to let you go
In the fathers hands we know
That a lifetimes not too long to live as friends.
"

anyways,

i've had almost a week of japanese food and i totally heart it!!! officially declare that i love japanese cuisine, the tempuras, shisamos, unagi, tasty white rice, sashimis, crabsticks and more, more more!

was at the jap restaurant @ safra mt faber with the roommate on mon. yummilicious ala-carte buffet, the shisamos are soooo pregnant!

then it was ichiban @ centrepoint with the roommate again on thurs and sun & moon at night with drey and william. no photos this time but i tell you, ichiban beats sakae sushi anytime hands down. the prices are comparable but the quality of food at ichiban is so much better. as for sun & moon, food is definitely good.

and today, we were supposed to have western food but it turned out that sizzler was under renovation. so, we settled for kushinbo dong dong dong. have been there a couple of times, thus am quite familiar with the selection. nice as usual!

i love japanese food!

and i heart chocolates too! discovered this new improved recipe chocolate at marks and spencers the other day, found it interesting cos the flavour was bubbly milk. make a guess, what's the colour of the chocolate?

nope, it's brown. thought it's white dont u? no worries, im with u. it turned out that the bubbly stuff was referrin to the bubbles within the choco, and milk = milk chocolate, period. tasted heavenly nevertheless. hee.

i simply adore marks and spencer's tidbits and foodies. try the digestive biscuits the next time, guarantee it's better than mcvities. =)

ramblings.

i have been falling asleep unknowingly for 2 consecutive nights, arghh. i dont know from where did the tiredness come from bcos i have been practically doing nothing much for the last 2 days; this is infuriating!

there goes my big plan to clense, tone and moisturise my face and skin everynight, shrugs.

i'm officially 25!

and that's equivalent to exactly a quarter of a century, that sounds old. no matter, i thought i should at least pen down some stuffs to celebrate this special occasion of mine, grin.

many many thanks, hugs, and kisses to all that has dropped me well-wishes smses and all, really sweet of u peeps yeah. of course, more kisses for drey darlin who sang me a birthday song after the clock struck 12 on sunday night. special mention of the roommate too cos i had an all expenses paid day and the best thing is we dont have to work, yays! (ha, bet our bosses will kill us for this) lastly, to my dad, mum & bros dearest for preparing a heart-warming steamboat at home. yes, i feel loved. =)

so what's in for me at the age of 25?

im definitely up to some personal development but everything's just floating in the air in the mean time; no concrete plans and stuff yet. some thoughts in mind will be to further my golf classes, take on tennis lessons and perhaps, embark on learning a new skill? golf will be pretty achievable as i just got to make a call to my previous coach and make some arrangements. transportation is goin to be a headache though as the club is situated at marina, near ford road. sigh, but knowing how lazy a person i am, i doubt it will happen any soon. haha. but as i've said, no plans and no actions now = all talk. seriously, this sucks.

on the contrary, a good thing to do and with undefeated determination, will be to reduce all forms of procastination! knowing what a lazy bum i am, i've decided that getting-rid of this bad habit is kinda top on my list.

honestly, nothing special bout 25 and it's just another year gone by yah but i guess im ready for being 25! after all, im still the same me!

the gang, less keet (he was on the flight back from london), at a mini-durian party after porridge.

the gang again, less kj, at wala! been a really long time since i last patronized this old hangout place. in fact, i've been going to less places and cutting a lot on my night activities ever since my career switch. nevertheless, wala is still wala! everything's pretty much the same except for the age group of the crowd. i guess that's because i have aged, haha.

timbre, thumper, loof, ice cold beer, bala, etc. dont be surprised, i've not been before. these are places which i supposed most of my peers/uni friends will hangout at after work yeah. i thought i have been unhappening for the past 2 years! haha, grumbles grumbles grumbles.

note: chang's shirt is very rude! and make a smart guess who loves to take pictures?

till the next post!

A gift from the roommate...

ta-da! a new burberry document bag!

anyway, i simply love the inside of the bag. gorgeous.

yes, a gift from the roommate for being 25 years old already. and 25=1/4 of a century=i is old. not sure why, but the roommate likes this bag alot. fyi, it's unisex but doubt he will use it yah cos it's still quite feminine.

am also eyeing on a new gucci arrival and im determined to get it, latest by aug. stay tune for this space!

of course, i did get something for the roommate as well; a nice dunhill wallet! =)

still tired.

not even a 12 hours-intensive sleep can salvage the lack of rest for the 4 days i was away for goal setting 2008. 12 hours straight, the longest i've ever slept (er, as far as i can remember). havent really been a big fan of mr zhou since my younger days; give me 5 hours and i will be functioning as per normal the next day.

has been back for 2 days and still feeling under the weather. sulks, the keyword is heaty. worse, i fell down while walking yesterday, thus leaving a very big scar on my left kneecap as well as some scatches and bruises on both my legs. wat luck!
