Cambodia Part II

exploration at the marketplace & town area...

and here comes life-saver items 2 & 3! yes, this is the scene where the both of us stopped and applied our sunscreen and all. sunkiller powder milk spf 50+ for the face and sun play spf130 for everywhere else!!! haha.

our first khmer treat @ khmer kitchen restaurant. =) the food is damn yummilicious and that justly explains why we are there everyday for either our lunch or dinner. grin. life is good over at siem reap! something amazing, the curry chicken is a lil different though, it's made of more stuff than carrot and potato, that's sweet potato and pumpkin as well. (errr, not really to our taste) and we realize the next day that sweet potato and pumpkin, esp pumpkin, are in abundance in cambodia. haha, cos u see them every meal. again, i have to assert my claim, the rice is damn nice. one must try at the khmer restaurant is the mussaman curry, superb. and the grilled fish & pork ribs are simply finger licking good.

food back at the resort's pretty good too, though more bland than the ones at khmer kitchen but at least, we get what we wanted to try, the traditional amok fish!!! tastes a bit like otah, hmm, how bout steam spicy thick otak in pandan leaves? yummy!

and we went to the night market too! nothing much inside, cos they sell almost the same stuff as the old market (marketplace) and the new central market. haha. bascially, the town area is pretty small, so all the above 3 markets (which are commonly known as shopping malls in singapore) are within 15-20 min of walking distance. we only found 1 real, true-blue air-conditioned shopping mall in town, which is still in the midst of renovation. ha, life is still simple over at cambodia yah.

Oh and we chanced upon a family throwin a wedding banquet, glam glam. however, i find the bride & groom's figurines on the car a bit disturbing though. heh heh. =)

and it's sunset at siem reap. nice ar. and that reminds me, red sky in the morning. here are some pictures which the roommate took from inside the plane. the sunrise early in the morning yeah.

and here's our favourite entertainment in the resort. hee.

and there's lots of frogs in the resort, i did step on one too. luckily it wasnt squashed or anything. phew. lookin forward to the next part of cambodia? part III is on the way! =)
