i'm back!

cambodia has been an enriching trip; the country is simple, yet has a rich culture and history. food was great! just that the weather is a bit too hot, and being a meanie, i immediately listed a few people to the roommate whom i think cannot survive the trip, haha. it's been a great 5 days away from singapore, away from work. the holidays was so good that i even asked the roommate if we should extend our stay. but alas, the schedule is too tight for any extension. im so looking forward to the next holidays! =)

our flight on 23rd was at 6am, thus, the roommate didnt sleep while i only managed to take a 30min nap. plently of stuff to settle before we set off for the airport, basically, the 2 of us were checkin and sending emails and all. dad & mum sent us to the airport at 345am, super early and to our surprise, the flight was full; we queued for a good 20 min before our turn. after which, it was breakie time!

our first time on jetstar, hmmm, small and not much leg space, especially for the roommate. it's not our first on a budget airline though. the first time was way back in 2004 when we went to phuket on airasia, that was worse. haha.

see the little spaces we've got from our head to the seat in front, crampy. the sunrise reminds me of our sec 1 literature txtbk, red sky in the morning. and after 2 hours of sleep, here we are at siem reap international airport! we are the happy duo! =)

palm village resort, highly recommended by the roommate's cousin. it's a nice and tranquil place, located off the town area, about 15-20 min ride away. pros and cons. the place is good because of its serenity and quietness but the disadvantage at the same time is also because of its location, we cant walk to town, and that will mean we got to spend extra on the tuk tuk rides. however, the resort was a lil' under our expectations, cos we read really fantastic reviews about the place. ha, but everything looks like it's on the website. good facilities though, with a swimming pool, free internet usage and a pool table. the staff are friendly and helpful, makes guests like us feel at home. another pros, because this is something we think the hotels cant provide us with.

day 1, we've decided for it to be a relax day so we went off to town for some walk-walk. nice pictures everywhere.

do u know how hot we were??? thanks to our life-saver item 1, watson's facial spray, that keeps our skin refresh and moisturise at all times. we have a lot of life-saver items throughout the trip, hahaha.

check out the sign below, looks familiar? ha, but take a closer look at the words and you'll see the difference. grins.

well, that's all for today, as most pics are still with the roommate. haha. the pics i have on my cam is limited cos i gave up on photograhpy on the 3rd day. the weather is simply too distractin for me to do anything. haha.
