Lunar

yes, been quite a while since i last clubbed. thus, was damn looking forward to last friday's night-out with the gang, the venue was decided after mr low casted his votes to Lunar @ the cannery. yeaps, gotta agree with keet that it's not exactly a place where we would find our peers cos the average age group inside, as we looked around, will most probably be in their 30s?

Music was rather not ok when I first reached, the live band was kinda crappy and of course, not as happening as st james. Lunar seems like a mix of dragonfly and broiler room yah and for at least 30 min, i was simply bored, cos the live band wasnt exactly entertainin as well. BUT, things took a turn when the live band went out of action and the chivas came. Retro hit the house, and all of us being true-blue zoukettes, were enjoying ourselves in no time. i missed mambo night! however, according to reliable sources, mambo is not what it used to be already and there're new restrictions placed on club hop from phuture, zouk and velvet. it's complicated.

blah blah blah blah blah blah....the point is, it was an enjoyable night! and we finished the bottle of chivas in record time. and it's definitely disasterous to down beer immediately after hard liquor, though the place seems a lot more fun after that. and the last jug of vodka lime is quite redundant, tasted like 7-up to me. the roommate says we're crazy. guess after a few more of such rounds, it's about time we move on to bigger things such as the cannon. hahaha.

something noted, there was this boring table in front of us. drank juices, little alcohol, ate all sorts of finger snacks and their butts looked as if they're glued to the seats. the loud music didnt make them wanna dance, the people dancing around them didnt make them feel hyped up enough to stand up, the shouts and screams to the dj didnt even affect them one bit. come on, it's friday night! perhaps, they're forced to go as the clique looked more like colleagues than friends.

oh, and the best part is we got in FREE and yet, have a table, thanks to kj & his happening colleague who happens to be a member there. call me cheapo-fart, but it definitely feels good to get into clubs foc. after which, we realized that keet's bro is a member there as well. sweats, next time, we shall just check with him first since he seems to have membership from everywhere. haha.

conclusion: it's great hanging out with the gang! and lunar is alright, will be more fun with more booze! =)
