heard on air that the movie was only given a star by straits time and half a star from some english-based magazine, however, the dj did bring on her view that the many-stars-movies are usually some arty-farty shit which heartlanders like most of us would not understand. agree. what's more, which is more important? the review done by critics or being able to have a good laugh throughout the show, the self-satisfaction and all? she totally convinced me.
caught the movie with zw at PS just hours ago and we finally understood why it was only awarded 1/2-1 star.
1. The storyline was kind of pathetic. 1 popcorn.
2. The best part of the entire show is its entertainment value cos quite a number of the scenes are really funny. 3 & 1/2 popcorn.
It's more of a vcd/dvd's show rather than a cinema's show la. but if u really have to catch it, guess it's more worthwhile to watch it on a weekday. =)
overall, i give it 1 & 1/2 popcorns!
anyway, zw and i booked another trip today! we're going to cambodia from 23rd march - 27th march! the trip will not be brought forward if not for his cousin, who just came back last dec. since he threw us with quite a bit of info & jetstar is running some cny promo, we went ahead with our decision. total air tics and accomodation is about 340 per pax. cheap cheap!!!
