how not to get fat?

beats me.

judgin from the amount of sinful indulgences each day, guess it's not too hard for the roommate and i to put on weight expotentially. sulks, but the food is really quite good. haha.

first up, supper at mr. bean cafe @ selegie area on saturday night. this is by far, one of the nicer late-night hangout place that serves good food and of course, one of our favourite places. the food used to be great, but there was this period of time where we thought that a minor overhaul was performed. the roommate believed that the chefs were changed and replaced cos the food didnt taste as good as before, something bout the batter and taste of the food wasnt the same anymore. here comes a couple of recommendations at mr. bean cafe:

1. the seafood soup is a MUST-TRY! it's hot, thick, and tasty and sooooooo niceee...
2. the platter. serves a variety of popular snacks and their prawn fritters are one of the best that we have tasted so far. the chicken wings used to be yummilicious though, it's normal now.
3. apple crumble!
4. sinful brownie
5. pizzas

cant think of much for now; drinks wise, pretty safe to go with the coffees and teas. hee. honestly, we have not tried most of the main course before cos each time we patronized, it's either late night or still late night. haha.

what we ordered that night. it's some very crunchy & yummilicious prawn fritters! the oreo cheesecake was quite a disappointment though.

and ta-da, here comes the supper on sun @ the coffee club outside california fitness (cineleisure). the nutty banana and the sherperd's pie simly rocks! amazing! it's been quite a while since we last went there.

love the ambience there, the open air and the dim lightings.

alright, 1 place that we would really love to recommend is this new outlet we chanced upon at plaza singapura's b2, hot tomato express! it's just located opposite the wang coffee joint and pizza hut. for the price that we are paying, the quality of food there is superb and it wins cafe cartel hands down.

while the roommate ordered a mix grill, i prefered a steak with king prawns. perhaps, it was due to the fact that we didnt really set high expectations or place much hope on the food served, and that actually make them even more enjoyable. super value-for-money.

ha, and even though the shop name is hot tomato express, rest assured that there's no tomato dishes. =)
