Hong Kong 030211-080211 Part I

was in hong kong with my folks & lil brothers for this CNY holidays. all our worries about food, closed shops and boring streets immediately diminished upon arrival in our hotel.

hong kong is damn CROWDED and almost everywhere is OPENED for business!

the shops that i were interested and closed:
1. 海天堂 (for the 1st day of CNY)
2. Yung Kee (for the first 3 days of CNY)

to my dismay, everywhere is filled with tourists and most importantly, 90% of them comes from the mainland. and due to our cultural differences, i DO have an issue with them especially when it comes to places with long queues or big crowds. every muscle and cells inside me are dying to shout
不要再推我,不要再挤!

i wanted to do a super long post but my stamina sucks, really. so here comes the pictures of day 1 & 2!

the folks in changi international airport!

while daddy & I went to get the check-in done, mummy dearest was busy taking photos with her 2 sons.

lunch was taken at the hotel's cafe, buffet style. no photos of food as everyone was super hungry!

first stop; from jordan to mongkok!

yes, how can we miss this?

my favourite all-time snacks!

there was a ching-gay alike celebration on the 1st day of CNY along the streets of tst, of course we went to see see look look. the traffic policemen were already all over the streets as we walked down canton road.

my favourite character of the night!

dinner was taken pretty late; it was in my daddy's all-time favourite chinese fast food chain. :)

Day 2 - Lantau Island

it was still pretty empty when we reached at around 9am.

yes, time for food!

this is the queue at the bottom of the cable-car ticketing station while we got back down. it was atrocious! in fact, we also plannd to go tai-o on the same day. but due to the crowd, we decided to return to tung chung again the next.

one of the must-dos in hong kong during CNY is their fireworks display on the 2nd day of lunar new year. on this night, the display will start at 8pm along victoria harbour. we reached at around 630 to grab a place in front of the starbucks. no photos but the fireworks display was awesome!!!

dinner was zi char in temple street; perhaps it was CNY, the quality of food was compromised and definitely because of CNY, we were charged extra 10%.
folks, that's all for tonight! i am already super tireds!
