updates.

yes, i havent been updating. not that im busy at work. alright, perhaps yes, i've been busy rescheduling appointments. think i need to visit the temple soon; whoever up there, i need help to tide me off these 2 months. pleeeassseeeee. somewhat, my schedules are a bit screwed since oct. but being taught to be positive at all times, im going to get real lucky soon!

while everyone is lookin forward to xmas and the holidays, year-end always give me the "ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR", as if im suddenly slapped in the face. get it?

shrugs. in short, work is off at the moment and i definitely need some crazy alcoholic-session. i have resorted to drinkin my choya and some whisky at home already. u guys hear me, please jio me k. haha, i sound damn desperate.

right, some updates. foodie time!!!

went for fullerton's hi-tea the other day with the partner and phoebe, expensive but we had a great time. i've only got with me 2 pictures, ta-da, the rest are as usual, with the partner. haha. anyway, we were damn hungry that day and all three of us were busy savouring the sandwiches, scones and desserts that none took attention to snap some nice pics. grin. the smoked salmon sandwich is very good.

and i met up with TT at insomnia, chjimes. the food there is quite good but dont try changing their menu, they cant really handle creativity. the reason being, my gf changed her seafood mariana only to retain the squids and prawns, and her pasta sauce to a cream one instead of tomato-based. so there, it was quite dry and not nice. haha. my steak was good, and so was the lamb rack. didnt manage to taste the chicken breasts though, it looks good nevertheless. but i always enjoy an outing with them and one of us is going to get married soon, it's so much fun discussing bout other people's stuff! speaking of which, i realize that a lot of people are getting married these days or is it because im getting older?

when moods are a bit down, chocolates are our saviour. no matter, chocolate are great for gathering too! we ordered this crunchie chocolate fudge cake 2 weeks ago, yummy but not as potent as the crunchie chocolate drink i had at prive. anyway, we got the cake from choc.a.bloc,
no direct purchase as all cakes have to be ordered 3 days in advance of the event. this is how popular the cakes are! the shop's located in bedok, within walkin distance from the famous 85-mrkt supper place yeah. =)

more cakes! blackforest bought from one of the cakeshops in the neighbourhood. the only special thing bout it is that it's my dad's birthday cake! grin.

ha, think my blog is becomin a food-blog soon. hopefully not. saw this very interesting sight the other night after i parked the car.

what the toots right? i didnt really examine the coupons and check out when this car is going to park till. but this is definitely the first time i see this in a hdb carpark. hdb carpark, mind u! i dont even get to such instance below my office where the summon aunty comes as and when she likes. haha.

and i saw this buidling near jalan besar last week, it was dated year 19xx which i didnt manage to capture and which i have forgotten as well. guess it has been through world war 2? interesting yeah. sometimes, i wonder what these buildings are doing in modern times like now. are they serving as historical momuments, just some conserved buildings to symbolize the area or have they turned into some foreign workers residential bunks (since it's quite near little india) or otherwise? i bet there are more of these structures lying around in the whole of singapore. maybe i should cover an episode of discovery singapore ar. haha.

since im on this, does anyone know of this really big house further in bukit chermin road? in fact, it is very near keppel club. that place has always been a mystery to me because i cant find it online and neither can i locate it in streetdirectory.com. however, i always see it across the sea whenever im at labrador park or whenever im on the ferry to batam. it is a big house that faces the sea, yes directly beside the sea and above the 'cliff'. it somewhat occurs to me as those houses i always read in stories of nora robert's. perhaps, a closer comparison will be the alkaff mansion, eerie.

afterall, singapore is not that small huh. =)

here you have it, another very random post!
